By the way, June is coming up!! HOORAY again! Let's talk about something else.
Oh- ya..I've watched a movie called, August Rush yesteray. August Rush was a published last year I guess, but the disc is just sold this month. BOO!... so outdated.. Let me comment it..

A boy named Evan Taylor (Freddie Highmore) lives in an orphanage, all the while believing that his parents are alive. He believes the music that he hears all around him is his parents communicating with him. Evan meets a counselor, Richard Jeffries (Terrence Howard), of the New York Child Services Department. Evan tells him he does not want to be adopted because he believes his parents are still alive.Through a series of flashbacks, his parents are revealed to be a famous concert cellist named Lyla Novacek (Keri Russell) and Louis Connelly (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), an Irish guitarist and lead singer of a rock band, who spend one romantic night together and never see each other again. While Evan has believed his parents have wanted him all along, his mother only lately comes to find out that her son is alive and sets out to New York to find him. His father has never forgotten Lyla and doesn't know about Evan.
Both have since given up music.Evan makes his way to New York City, where he is taken in by a man known as "Wizard" (Robin Williams), who houses various orphans and runaways, employing them to play music on the streets, and taking a large cut of their tips. Evan immediately proves to be a musical (Child Prodigy). Wizard enlists him, and gives him the name "August Rush", convincing him he will be sent back to the orphanage if his real name is ever discovered. After a raid by the police, Evan takes refuge in a church, where he again impresses with his natural musical talent, and is enrolled at the Juilliard School as "August Rush".
A work he composes is chosen to be performed by the New York Philharmonic in Central Park, but Wizard barges into a rehearsal, and Evan reluctantly follows him back to his life of playing on the streets. Meanwhile, Lyla has discovered Evan's identity and has been living in New York searching for him. While there, she decides to resume her cello career, and is chosen to play in the concert featuring Evan's piece. Louis, believing Lyla to be married, also returns to New York to resume playing with his former band, and has a chance meeting with Evan in Washington Square Park. The night of the concert, Evan finally chooses to run from Wizard in favor of performing at his concert. Louis races to the park when he sees Evan's pseudonym along with Lyla's name on a sign billing the concert. Evan conducts his piece, and at its conclusion, he turns around to see Lyla and Louis standing hand in hand, and he finally makes the connection that they're his parents.
I totally enjoyed this movie. The scenes have an appealing fantasy element, while at the same time, the plot manages to explore true-to-life human situations such as bullying of those who are different. The music is incredible, and mostly consists of original scores. It includes gospel, rock and classical, seamlessly integrated in a new way that works extremely well. The plot is somewhat predictable and possibly a little "sappy", but those elements are easily overcome by the moment-to-moment execution of the story. Think of a modernized "Oliver" with Robin Williams as Fagin to a group of homeless, musically talented kids...plus extra elements of romance and intrigue, and you will have a bit of an idea about this movie. The three main characters are all physically "beautiful" people who manage to convey the story with a minimum of dialog. Additional characters, including Terrence Howard as the social worker, Jamia Simone Nash as the young girl in the church choir, and Leon G. Thomas as the young boy who befriends the musical prodigy, contribute strong performances and pizazz. Someone sitting near me stated it is impossible for even a prodigy to learn music so quickly and at such a young age... However, this is not true. Check out Jay Greenberg, a young music student currently studying at Julliard. In the end, this movie is at least an endorsement and celebration of the significance of music in our lives and at most a transcendent, fun experience to watch. I rarely like to see any movie more than once, but definitely want to see this again. Take the family…this is for children, teens and adults. Don't miss it is my recommendation!
Well, I totally agree with the comment up there. The musics, actors , scene was so perfect! It connects to each other. I really loved to watch every part of the movie except the ending. I was thinking that the ending will be very very memorable ending.. Such as, they will be in one family or they hugged each other. Should be something like that! I rated this movie 9/10. Just because the ending.. I have to minus the 1.. Again I say, this movie is beautifully written and acted very well! One very interesting element was how they blended the two musical styles of the main character of August's parents in a number of scenes. It would flash between her playing Bach on the cello and him playing Irish rock music on the guitar. It really supported the message of the whole movie, that music is the harmonic connection between all human beings. Hey c'mon!! This movie!! August Rush is a Academy Award-nominated drama.
